Most recently the city played host to the spectacular Liverpool Giants showcase which drew in 1.3 million visitors alone!
With spring well underway and summer just around the corner, there’s no better time to visit Liverpool. We have compiled a list of some of the events coming up in Liverpool over the next few weeks and months.
Liverpool Bordeaux Wine Festival
This event is for all the wine connoisseurs at there… The Bordeaux Wine Festival will transport the Liverpool waterfront into a paradise of world-class wine and food on the weekend of May 31st. A Taste Pass will grant you 8 tastings, a souvenir wine glass and case, celebrity chef demonstrations and access to the School Workshop. You will also be able to see live music, arts and culture experiences.
The end of May is going to be busy as the Baltic Weekender also takes place between May 31 and June 2. This festival takes place at the Baltic Triangle where performers will include Nina Kraviz, Breakwave, DJ Stingway and Supernova. Local artists and partners will also be in attendance including Astral, Hangar34, Constellations and Nightwrk. Tickets can be purchased now from £22.40 but be quick, they’re selling out fast!
Take That at Anfield
Take That will will open up Liverpool Football Club’s programme of Events and Concerts on June 6th. They will be the first act to perform at Anfield in over 10 years! The Anfield gig forms part of their 30th anniversary Greatest Hits tour.
Liverpool International Tennis Tournament
The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament arrives in the city towards the end of June, just a few weeks before Wimbledon. Up and coming as well as established WTA and ATP players will be competing for the ultimate prize at Liverpool Cricket Club. Tennis fans can now purchase tickets for the tournament.
The Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) returns to the beautiful Sefton Park on June 20 & 21. This festival has emerged as one of the city’s most spectacular annual events. Announced acts for this year’s show includes Sigma, Disco Classical, DJ Ace and Kenny Dope. Tickets are on sale now at £6 per person.
Speaking of spectacular events, Creamfields is consistently one of the country’s biggest summer festivals. If you are a music lover, you won’t want to miss this festival during the August Bank Holiday weekend. The biggest names in dance music will hit the stage including Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Tiesto and deadmau5.
Liverpool Comedy Festival
Fans of comedy will want to attend the Liverpool Comedy Festival this September. Comedians from afar as well as local comedians will take to the stage with their jokes and humour. The Liverpool Comedy Festival will take place across multiple venues during the two-week period of 13 & 29 September 2019.
